FireworksSuzie, Lyle and I planned a drive out to Niagara Falls for the festivities. We had heard that it would be spectacular, hundreds of people, fireworks at both the Canadian and American falls and Blue Rodeo entertaining.
Now for the story:
...We barely made it there on time! Lyle and I drove to Toronto to pick Suzie up from her cousins, then we went for a very nice dinner downtown Toronto. Then we had to whip back to Burlington for some warm clothing (it was COLD that night!) and we then had less than one hour to make it to Niagara Falls from Burlington.
The race was on!
Suzie Drives! The night was cold and windy, the Falls seemed so far away. It didn't seem possible that we would make it. Half an hour... twenty minutes... 10... could we get there... In Niagara Falls,,, the countdown started... we zipped along to the main thoroughfare, time was of the essence. The seconds ticked by...and at the stroke of midnight...
We stopped dead centre of BOTH falls! We had the perfect spot! We saw two incredible fireworks displays at once, watched New Year's eve revelers, honked the horn and waved, all in the warmth of the car. It was great! It was spectacular!
The one disappointment, the camera messed up and so we only have a few shots, but we still had the best time.
We seem to have adventures when ever we go to Niagara Falls, if you haven't already done so, go check out our other Niagara Falls trip.

Post Note - Suzie has now returned to Alberta, Lyle and I soon followed, to read about our further adventures, click " target="_blank">here.
